This safari shows you Tanzania at it’s best, we will guide you through the richest ecosystem on Earth.  Experience most exciting parks with a great deal of possibilities to spot Big 5. 

Sample itinerary:Kilimanjaro Forest, Arusha NP, Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Olduvai George, Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi, Lake Duluti – 13 days

Day 1: Arrival at Mt Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel/lodge outside Arusha you will have the whole day to relax and get ready for your next day safari.

Day 2: Marangu

The Marangu Cultural Tour is a great day out to experience traditional Tanzanian culture. Come and experience an exciting mix of cultures. Meet friendly people and enjoy beautiful scenery that surround us. Visit the most exciting areas for cultural and recreational walking in Marangu village. For those who wish to climb Mt Kilimanjaro this will help to acclimatise for those who came back from a long safari it is a nice way to unwind and relax. Visit waterfalls, Chagga live museum, local market, underground tunnels (chagga bolt hole), coffee and banana farms. In the late evening drive to Moshi for overnight stay.

Day 3: Arusha National Park

After breakfast drive to Arusha National Park at the slope of Mount Meru. The park is famous for black and white colobus monkey, tour of the great Lake Momella and Ngurdoto Crater. Here you will have a chance to walk in the park with an armed ranger and get very close with the animals. In the evening drive back to Arusha town.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park

In the morning, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel/lodge and drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its huge baobab trees.

Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location. Large herds of elephants can be found here constantly looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Here you will also see the migratory wildebeest, zebra and buffalo crowding the shrinking lagoons. You will enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch and then drive to Hhando Coffee Lodge town to relax and for overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will be amazed to see one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the magnificent Serengeti! The park is very famous and well known to host the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.

The Serengeti’s vast plains are also home to a haven of other wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards and many other predators. Enjoy also an evening game drive with dinner and overnight in the heart of Serengeti.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will be amazed to see one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the magnificent Serengeti! The park is very famous and well known to host the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

Today there is an option to take a hot-air balloon flight over the plains at sunrise. You will celebrate your flight in the traditional manner with a glass of champagne (well, an excellent sparkling wine) before sitting down to a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in the African style.

After bush breakfast you will receive your Serengeti Balloon Certificate and then we full day game drive will follow. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.

Day 8: Serengeti – Olduvai George – Ngorongoro Highland

After breakfast leave for Serengeti via Oldupai Gorge and Laetoli. Visit the anthropological hot spot close to Ngorongoro where the remains of the earliest humans were found in Oldupai Gorge.

More advanced descendants of Laetoli’s hominids were found further north, buried in the layers of the 100 meters deep Oldupai Gorge. The first skull of Zinjanthropus, commonly known as ‘Nutcracker Man’ who lived about 1.75 million years ago, was found here. To visit the exevation site you will need an official tour guide.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the crater for a day of splendid game viewing and one of nature’s wonders. The fertile land attracts a huge range of animals. Enjoy a game drive and celebrate your tour with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool at Ngoitoktok. Afternoon in your lodge to relax.

Day 10: Hadzabe -Datoga

After breakfast, you’ll get the chance to visit a bushmen tribe of Datoga and Hadzabe, close to Lake Eyasi and learn about their culture and everyday life activities.

Day 11: Manyara National Park

Today you will enjoy a day trip to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located within the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara boasts a spectacular setting, famous for its tree climbing lions and soda-ash lake.

The park also provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds. After your game drive, we’ll travel a short distance to your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 12: Lake Duluti

Hike under the canopy of the Lake Duluti forest on the shores of the lake. From this location, you have the perfect opportunity to view both forest and water birds. If you are not an experienced bird watcher our guide will help you out to spot and identify all the lesser known birds.

The small, beautiful Crater Lake lies about 11km east of Arusha town. The beauty of the place is breath-taking and you will be mesmerized by the tranquillity and serenity that rules over the place. The dense forest around Lake Duluti is home to variety of reptiles and diverse wildlife. There are a number of activities you can take up including canoeing, boating, fishing, bird watching, and guided nature walks (approximately 3 hours). Guided nature walks around Lake Duluti are designed in such a way that you experience the breath-taking beauty of this place. The area is an ornithologist’s paradise. Experienced guides will take you on a spectacular hike and will fill you in with details about the birds and the local trees and their medicinal use. You can also take a coffee walk (approx. 2hrs). Our guide will lead you on a gentle stroll to beautifully located coffee farm sharing local history along the way. Back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
